We live on a planet that is in the process of evolution and upheaval.

The major religions of the world want us to believe that we are on the brink of destruction, which only adds to the despair and confusion of the population at large. War, murder, and suicide are rampant. Fear for our personal safety and the safety of our loved ones is an everyday issue. 

We are left with the illusion that no matter what we do or how we do it, we will fail without the support of a deity. Our paths are destined to be unfulfilled without the grace and salvation of a "superior" being, which is, in all instances, a manufacture of our ancestors.

This is not to say that ancient wisdoms and eternal truths have not been taught through the ages. There are more than a few traditions which have adhered to the knowledge given to the ancient ones. However, the tendency to erroneously reproduce thought and produce works of fiction as fact is inherent to humankind. 

As our galaxy passes through space and time, it is constantly being subjected to change. We have never known more than once the same area of the Multi-Verses since our evolution began. With this in mind, it is not hard to imagine just why mankind has continued to experience such extreme diversity in thought process, and especially as concerns religion/spirituality.
